About us

Welcome to Positive Image Studio where we use imagery to empower the beautiful you. We are a team of photographers and graphic artists based out of the central Pennsylvania area.

Using Photography to preserve special moments in time is very well and fine, but can it be something more? For us and our clients here at Positive Image Studio it is so much more! Photography is our medium not to just capture life's timeline, but to also celebrate the beautiful soul. Through the canvas of imagery, our hope is to promote positive self-awareness and body image for our clients and community.

 We love love love our studio located in the art district of downtown Lancaster. It once was an old candy factory, but has now been transformed into studios and art galleries, rustic brick and hardwood floors still in-tact. Our space is decorated utilizing the warm comforts of home with the inspiration of a French vogue style for a glamorous feel. Studio has plush sitting area, entertaining accommodations, dressing room tent, and antique vanity to apply hair and make-up. We even have an area we can use to take  portraits if you favor the old industrial factory style of photography. 

Although our main studio is in Lancaster, PA, we are also available for travel to an on-site location near you or one of your choosing. We will work closely with you to customize a photo shoot that not only reflects your personal interests, but also allows you to feel truly beautiful in your own skin.

About the artists

Lizzie grew up in a family of photographers and designers, taking much inspiration from her parents, siblings, and uncle. From the time she enrolled in her first photography class in Junior High School, Lizzie has held a fascination with capturing moments in both time and perspective. Also, being a woman of a size that does not always fit into society's ideal standards, Lizzie has felt an even greater need to promote the beauty and self-esteem of ALL individuals regardless of their shape and size. She has experienced first hand the sense of true beauty and liberation that can be obtained by a simple photo lens. Lizzie is our main photographer in the York and Lancaster County area, but will consider traveling.

Kelly too shares a passion for photography and has been perfecting her craft for the past three years while working for a commercial portrait studio. Her love for children allows her to capture their inner light and glow, often times working successfully with children who might be considered shy or full of extra energy. She also enjoys taking portraits that document special events and occasions such as engagements and graduations. Kelly is our main photographer in the Snyder County area, but will consider traveling.

Nikki also dabbles in photography, however her true talent is her graphic artistry. She has an amazing ability to take a photograph and enhance it digitally to the next level, creating images that take the observer to another time and place. With high academic honors, she earned her associate degree in Multimedia Design from the York Art Institute, formally known as Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts. Nikki helps assist both Lizzie and Kelly with their photography and graphic art needs.
